Pieces of writing were the thing that helped create Freedom Fighters.

Pieces of writing were the things that even created a community of like-minded people i.e group of freedom fighters.

In fact pieces of writing were the thing that triggered people or groups of people to take an action.

Content Writing and Copywriting have been there for a very long time. And today, we have AI Content generating tools even, to get started easily.

Let’s understand all this in the context of the pre-Independence British Era in India.

The Content put up in the Newspapers and magazines was clearly Content Marketing.

What did this piece of Content/writing do?

Though they were crafted and designed (by Britishers) with a mindset to trigger an emotion i.e fear. This strategy is observed as mostly successful as this content delivered the results Britishers expected.

What I feel is:- The Britishers did their Research perfectly. Understanding their target audience, knowing their triggers and pain points, and other research.

In spite of all these effects, We achieved freedom. Right?

Yes, there are a lot of factors that contribute to freedom.

But, Sticking to my observation in context with my article:- It has something to do with the power of Copywriting too.

Different Freedom Fighters continuously wrote and published their thoughts, plan, and actions. Now, this is the perfect example of Copywriting.

What did this piece of writing do?

These writings directly triggered people to form groups and take action.

Do you know what was common in all these writings by the freedom fighters?

The answer is – All these writings were filled with emotions.
Emotions like anger, pain, suffering, passion, etc.

Also, most of the writings could make the reader visualize what is he/she going to achieve after all this. Or What difference he/she can make.

The point to be noted here is the Content released by the Britishers did act as an activator. The news circulated by them made the people aware of what was going on around them. It gave people knowledge of the situation.

If you ask, here Copywriting has been a clear winner.

But when you apply it as a marketer or in your business, it should be the right mix.
